Production Meeting Reflection 4

Production Meeting Reflection 4

This week i have been helping navjeet my director with a master script because it will help all the crew members that have jobs for this show to work. The master script has been broken down to one big part and the other to small, the big part was done by me and my director. It was split into six section and had to be done in one lesson by me and the director navjeet. Other parts are done by the crew members so they know what they are doing in the process of the show. Next week we are all going to have a practice run of the whole show so when it comes to the main live show everyone will know what they are doing during the whole show.

Finished Master script

The master script is now done for all the crew members of this show to look and see what they have to do which involves them doing different stuff in there own job role. Everything is now colour coded so it will be easier for everyone to see there own job role and see what the have to do in a particular stage of the show.

Beginning Master Script

Beginning Master Script

In the master script, the director and i had to make a master script for the whole crew so everyone can look and see what exactly they have to do. The master script contains everyones job role and information about what they have to do in the show in order to make the show work. The script had been made mainly by me and the director navjeet, we had filled in the first six rows and the rest is done by the rest of the crew members. All the data for the six rows i had got from nisha running order script which told me how and what was going on  in the show.

Production meeting reflection 3

Production meeting reflection 3

My job role is a vision mixer where i have control over the switching of the screens and the different transitions to help the switching become more flowing and smooth throughout the whole show. This week i have be working on knowing the different transition and the basic information about the job. I have been playing around with the transition and working how to use it at the key points that will help make the show look good from my job.

I now know what each transition is and how it should be used, also i have complete a video of different transition used for me to look at when I'm not to sure about one of the transitions.

I would need change nothing or develop anything.

i will have work set for me from my teacher at the media department.

Testing Transitions

Testing Transitions

Fade In

Fade in is a common transition which everyone uses to open up a show or a next scene depending what they want to change or going on to. I would use the transition for when moving on from a opening of the logo to the presenters who will proceed on with the show. Its usually used to move from one person or scene to another, this only because it help the transition to one scene to another be more smoother and helps its follow throughout the show, but the effect is only used to open up he next scene not to close down.

Fade Out

Fade out is mainly the opposite to the fade in, its used to close a scene or close the end of show. The transition effect is mainly used to help the show close with a flowing and smooth like closing end to the show. I would use it in the show me and my team are going working on. I would it during closing a scene then to another opening with the the fade in, this effect helps simplify the show and make it look professional and easy throughout when using it.

Push

The push effect is another effect which is similar to the fade in effect, it moves from one scene to another which helps the show look more interesting because you won't be using the same transition over and over again. I would this transition effect when it come to moving from the interview to the games that will be happening during the show. The transition is a movement that moves the whole scene to one side which is mainly to the left.

Scale Down

Scale down is a transition where when the scene is finished or left to carry on, it moves everything to one side into a corner and brings up another scene to continue with the show. I would use this transition when the presenters say that they will be back after the break, then use the transition to the logo then advertisement or when something is half shown then moves to a different scene and back to the first scene to continue with. The transition give a good effect on the show and the audience by it being interesting plus the transitions becoming smooth and flowing.

Square Opening

The square opening is where a scene can be opened but a different effect because the transition is a square shape of the scene coming up from the middle of the page and out to cover the screen. I would use this effect by using it when the show is starting up after the ad-break because a fade in will get very boring and interesting for the audience because they would see that effect all the time on other shows.

Multi media production idea

Multi media production idea

Programme format

The programme format is going to have a informal mode of address, this is because the idea i have for the music show is going to have a similar theme and show like mtv cause of the urban look it has which would appeal to every genre for example from house to rock. The studio will have a bright look because it would look simple and not to complex and it would be difficult for the viewer to see the show. The style of the studio will look very urban and fashionable for all genre, on one side i have an idea of have a big magazine poster on one side of the studio because of mini games i mit have in the show which links to the poster. The target audience i will be aiming for is 14- 20 year olds.

Title of show

Content idea

The content idea i have for my show is that i will have a few mini games and quiz like answering a question to win a prize to go to the tomorrowland, also games like finger football where you have to score a goal to get the other person pied in the face. Plus i have other ideas like having a game where you have to pull a rubber band with someone but with your teeth and see how far you and the other person can stretch the band.

Running order

The running order of my idea is that:

  •  the show will start by having a simple run of the music in the background and the logo which will start up the show following with three presenters walking on to the show and talking about what will be happening on the show.
  • then the presenters will have to come and sit down and talk about the new music videos
  • Exclusive interview with the artist which the presenters will talk to for a few minute.
  • after the chat with the guest the presenters will have to play a game of a quiz round answer as many question correctly under 2 mins
  • Compitition is a chance to win four tickets to the tomorrowland in beligum for three days which includes dreamville relax rooms (for four people), four full madness (vip) comfort passes and £2000 spending money for the trip.
  • Then moving on to watching to the new music video then after watching it we will bring on another guest to the show that was in the music video.
  • after the chat with the guest the presenters will have to play a game where they have to play finger football.
  • Then the show will come to an end.

Visual style

The graphic side of my show is that the camera angles will be following in terms of movement and the shot will be a mixture of mid, close up and long shots to keep the show more interesting for the viewer to watch plus there will be different angles to which will also help.
The show will have different camera technique so the show will be intersting and funny to watch, but when the show is recorded, the editing side to everything is going to have a smooth and flash effect added to the show which would keep the audience engaged to the show.

Presentation style

The presentation style will be informal because if the show was formal it would e serious and it will be boring for the my targeted audience aged 14-20 years old. The main reason i would make the show look informal is because the presenters wont have to be serious, they will have to be entertaining which will help the audience be more engaged and intersted in what is going on in the music show. The show will have different activities anyways which will hopefully keep the audience entertained.

Production meeting reflection 2

The idea i gave to everyone is that the production schedule need to be changed and i had looked at that the sheet and i had a few suggestion for some of the changes. Everyone had thought that was a good idea because it made more sense and everyone argeed that is would help the show keep the audience more enagaged.
Next week i will be working on my job role and there will be work set for me by my teacher on monday.
